Job Title:
First Line IT and Technical Support (Networking, LAN/WAN, VOIP)
 
Position:
This position requires a quick thinker and the prime responsibilities will include efficient customer support, with the added responsibility of internal IT systems and internal projects to improve processes.

Candidate Specification:
The ideal IT Support candidate needs to be confident in dealing with people of all levels of seniority. Furthermore you will be responsible for dealing with support calls, providing updates to users, resolving quick fixes and escalating more complex issues to 2nd line support/development team. It is imperative that you can translate technical IT terminology into simple English. As such you should be able to demonstrate competence in the following areas:

  • Great communicator
  • Ensure an exceptional level of customer service and satisfaction
  • Effectively liaise with 2nd line teams as well as 3rd parties to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Tenacity, ensuring you close support calls out to the customer’s satisfaction
  • Ensure timely resolution of requests in line with published Service Level Agreements
  • Escalation of requests/issues where necessary
  • Basic networking knowledge e.g. (LAN/WAN Networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VOIP)
  • Advanced Excel skills
 
Candidate Attributes:
Ideally you will have a degree in an IT related discipline and have excellent communication skills, both written and oral. You must be able to communicate effectively with peers and managers. This role will also be responsible for all internal systems and infrastructure, which although minimal, will require a solid understanding of IT systems.
